Wilson's Phalarope showed well from the Zeiss Hide this morning but would have been too distant to photograph. Otherwise just a few Whitefronts and Bewicks in. They now have Otters and Cranes.
Vale of Glamorgan. Ogmore: Purple Sand (6). Ty'n-y-caeau Farm stubble fields: Yellowhammer (16), Reed Bnting (22) & Sky Lark (25). Also excellent meal in the Plough & Harrow with a glass of 'brainstormer' to wash it down!
Porthcawl am - 10+ people seawatching but whilst blowing a hoolie not the best direction. Great Northern Diver 1, a few auks,Common Scoters & Kittiwakes and not much else. Although I see there have been reports of Little Auk, Leach's Petrel and Sabine's Gull on the English side of the channel.
Cardiff Bay - 2 ad Yellow-legged Gulls in gull roost this evening. Also 3 Goosander.
Cardiff Bay - In front of St David's Hotel, Lesser Scaup 1, 50+ Tufted Duck. 2 very visible Kingfishers chasing each other around from end of boardwalk.
Lavernock Pt: Great Skua (1), Kittiwake (21) all D/C. also Stock Dove (5) & Fieldfare (2). Barry Dock GND (1, at 11.30am). Cardiff Bay: Gadwall (1) & Tufted Duck (157).
Rumney Great Wharf this morning 2 Black Redstarts still present about 200 metres west of blockhouse, 1 Male and 1 Fem/imm. A Merlin, also fem/imm chasing passerines in both counties and 30 Grey Plovers on the posts on Cardiff side.
Two Imm/Fem B. Redstarts south end of barrage this morning, on rocks adjacent to back of custom house. Tried to put this up earlier from work, but wouldn't let me post.
Bracelet Bay: Surf Scoter showing well 21/11 Grey Phals at Oxwich & Crumlyn Burrows 20/11 Goshawk at Nantgarw 20/11 Snow Bunting at Southern down 20/11
Porthcawl, 11.45 - 15.00(joined by MCP midway through) - all down Channel.
Storm Petrel 1, Red-throated Diver 1, Black-throated Diver 1, Kittiwake 100+, plenty of Auks, all closer ones (c20) appeared to be Gulliemots, Fulmar 2, Common Scoter 8
Mumbles (per MCP) - Surf Scoter fem/imm still showing from Bracelet Bay Car Park with small group of Common Scoter.
Surf Scoter still at 2pm (Bracelet Bay) with 1 male and 8 female Common Scoter, also 6-ad,4-2wp,1-1wp Med Gull and 2 Guillemot. Sadly no Leach's passed in 1hr watching.

1-2 Leach's Petrel off Porthcawl mid-morning, another was off Newton Beach early pm. The Surf Scoter was still present off Mumbles lighthouse midday.

Cardiff Heliport: Sabine's Gull (1 juv), GND (1), Common Scoter (6), Kittiwake (20) & Yellow-legged Gull (1)

Lavernock Point 1-4pm - 100+ Kittiwake,lots of Common Gulls,1 Common Scoter & 1 Leach's Petrel, 1Auk sp.

Cardiff Bay Barrage(pm) - a quick look in between heavy showers produced 1 Bonxie, 1 Arctic Skua, 1 Gannet & 1 Grey Plover.
