A migrant Twite would be coming through about now with the migrant Linnets - perhaps you are unaware of these? Honey Buzzard seen today at Gibraltar? still got a long way to go! Eagle well Taffs Well was the last report of the escapee that has been around Glamorgan for the last six months - so maybe just anothger sighting - you need to get out more!
2 common sands 200m upstream at blackweir, river taff. Early Purple Orchids were in flower along the foreshore adjacent to Longships Road and a good stream of swallows all moving east along the coast. No red rumps though.
Sub-alpine Wbr. at Newport wetlands, Uskmouth. Found this am and present til 16.30 at least. In scrub area past the small copse (turn from main path at 2nd pair of pylons thru small copse) several hundred metres past centre towards seawall.

A green sand was at RGW on the pools at the top of Lamby Reen (2 there on Tuesday), plus 4 Little Egret and a Wheatear
