RBG still there today (Mon), 9 Gadwall by car park, Stonechat by track & Sparrowhawk over.
Having trouble getting onto this site but managed today by typing in the full rigmarole. Maurice

Rhymney Est. this morning no luck with Iceland Gull though it was seen earlier in flight by Cliff & Dave P. Only bird of note was a single Dark Bellied Brent Goose.

The Bittern was still at Hendre Lake this morning moving along reeds on the railway side of the island going in and out of view. For anyone going to look I suggest wellies.

Portobello Isalnd - Couldn't find the Iceland Gull. Otherwise Goldeneye, Teal, Gadwall, Little Egret, ad Med Gull.

Lamby Lake - mid afternoon - 2nd winter Ring-billed Gull stood on ice.

Hendre Lake - couldn't find Bittern in quick look but I believe it was seen earlier.

redpoll & 4+ chiffs, Watermark & CBYC (one of the chiffs was very grey/pale and had a pale wingbar).

The Bittern was still present this morning but in the reeds on the railway side not on the island. Sorry Alex!

Cardiff Bay - Lesser Scaup from end of boardwalk still, plus 2 Chiff Chaff.

Lamby Lake - No Ring-billed Gulls in 2 short visits.

Rumney Great Wharf - Little Egret 1,Grey Plover 30+, Knot 10+. Dunlin 1000+.

Ringtail Hen Harrier circling over the fields by Peterston Gout for several minutes this morning before gliding inland. Bittern not showing during a brief visit afterwards but one hopeful waiting and another arriving in car park. About time it went !

TTV (Sully Is. & Swanbridge) 25 species including Med Gull (ad W) on Sully Is. new species for site. Also Raven (2) & Grey Plover (8).

A Barn Owl which has been seen often at Llancadle over the last month or so was seen at a daytime roost last week and seen by me today .

Hendre Lake - Bittern put in an appearance around midday in front of viewing platform for around 20 mins, but otherwise kept well out of sight.

TTV (RGW & Wentloog area): 39 spp. highlights include Common Scoter (2), Water Rail (1, uncommon at site), Snipe (90, highest count for site & highest in Cardiff since 2003), Jack Snipe (5, highest count for site) & Cetti's Wbr. (1).
Note: No Greenfinches, and only one Linnet & one Chaffinch. I haven't seen many since this recent cold snap, Dec-early Feb.

For DRWG,there were plenty of Greefinch around the tip on Sunday.
Also i did mean to write Green Sand the other day.

At least four bats feeding along the Taff Trail between Hailey Park and Radyr (prob Pips?)at around 7.30 to 8.00. How did we loose that?

Cardiff Bay - Ad Little Gull this evening - feeding in middle of Bay.

TNHW AKA Cosmeston - No sign of Iceland Gull.
